Entrances & Access Points
- All main and secondary entrances
- Loading docks, gates and vehicle access points
- Emergency exits that may also need coverage
Critical & High-Risk Areas
- Inventory storage, cash handling and server/IT rooms
- Areas identified by the business as previous incident locations
Physical Layout
- Ceiling height and mounting surfaces
- Obstructions such as racking, columns or signage that could create blind spots
- Distances between proposed camera locations and the planned NVR/network closet
Cabling & Network Readiness
- Existing cabling that may be reusable
- Available PoE switch capacity or need for new switching
- Cable pathway options (overhead, conduit, along structure)
Lighting Conditions
- Daytime and after-hours lighting at each proposed camera location
- Areas that may require low-light or night-vision camera selection
Operational Considerations
- Business hours and any scheduling constraints for installation work
- Whether the facility is a single site or part of a multi-location project
